Chadwick Boseman (y’know James Brown in Get On Up and Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) stars in a biopic of Thurgood Marshall, who became the first African-American Supreme Court Justice.

Set in 1941, it centres on one of Marshall’s earliest, career-defining cases, in which he defended a black chauffeur in a sexual assault and attempted murder trial that became something of a tabloid cause celebre. James Cromwell is the judge. The director is Reginald Hudlin, who’s best known for 1990’s House Party. He also produced Tarantino’s Django Unchained, but has worked mostly in TV.
