A new film about Russian revolutionary and assassin Maria Spiridonova, who’s billed as “the forgotten heroine of the Russian revolution”. Made by Class War on a budget not unadjacent to bugger-all, mostly by nicking stuff from other films and shooting at various locations without permission, it aims to restore her reputation. After this Bristol Radical History Group screening, there will be a Q&A with director Murray Healey, lead actress Justine Fernandes and the film’s producer: Mr Class War himself, Ian Bone, formerly of this parish, aka “the most dangerous man in Britain”.
