Back in November 1987, a promising conductor called Simon Rattle made his Berliner Philharmoniker debut with Gustav Mahler’s Sixth Symphony.

It’s back on the programme for this farewell concert, in which the ennobled Sir Simon makes his last appearance as the Philharmoniker’s chief conductor. “Exclusive interviews and programme insights ” are also promised during this live event.
