Horny pirate Conrad falls for hot harem girl Medora, but – alas and alack – she’s the ward of slave merchant Lankedem. When Lankedem decides to flog her to the Pasha, Conrad promptly kidnaps her. Swashbuckling ensues.

Inspired by Lord Byron’s epic poem and reworked in 2007 by Alexei Ratmansky from Petipa’s exotic 19th century classic, this most lavish of Bolshoi productions includes a great shipwreck, dramatic scenery and enough hoofing for the entire company. Note that this is a pre-recorded screening rather than a live broadcast.
