BP Big Screens: Royal Opera House – Don Giovanni

Certificate
12A
Running Time
210 mins

For the uninitiated, Mozart’s Don Giovanni is the story of the eponymous promiscuous nobleman who shags his way across Europe. But when the incorrigible nobbing nob goes too far and commits murder, he unleashes ‘orrible vengeance from beyond the grave.

Kasper Holten’s lightly comic 2014 production features a spectacular set by award-winning designer Es Devlin. Marc Minkowski conducts a world-class cast led by Mariusz Kwiecień with Ildebrando D’Arcangelo, Rachel Willis-Sørensen, Pavol Breslik and Hrachuhi Bassenz. This is the last of three free outdoor screenings in this year’s BP Big Screens programme in Millennium Square. You’re invited to bring a picnic. Go here for more details and conditions of entry.
