The West End’s longest-running ballet, Matthew Bourne‘s hugely acclaimed production of the great Russian romantic ballet is best known for its convention-shattering replacement of the female corps-de-ballet with a menacing male ensemble.

Boasting sets and costumes by Lez Brotherson and lighting by Paul Constable, this performance was filmed at Sadler’s Wells, where the ballet premiered back in 1995.
