Metropolitan Opera Live: Marnie

Director
Michael Mayer
Certificate
12A
Running Time
149 mins

If the title sounds familiar, that’s because Nico Muhly‘s second new opera for the Met is a ‘reimagining’ of the Winston Graham novel that inspired the Hitchcock thriller of the same title.

It’s the story of a beautiful, mysterious young woman who assumes multiple identities. Director Michael Mayer‘s production is suitably cinematic. Mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard stars in the title role, opposite baritone Christopher Maltman as her husband.
