In Luis Bunuel‘s blackly comic 1962 surrealist classic, the guests at a bourgeois dinner party find themselves unable to leave. As days pass, their social façade crumbles and they descend into savagery.

British composer Thomas Ades conducts the US premiere of his new opera based on the film, with a top-notch Brit cast that includes Sally Matthews, Sophie Bevan, Alice Coote, Christine Rice, Ieystn Davies and John Tomlinson.
