National Theatre Encore: Angels in America Part Two – Perestroika

Director
Marianne Elliott
Certificate

Running Time
225 mins

Concluding bit of this new staging of Tony Kushner’s epic, multi-award winning, two-part eight hour play, Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes. Set in mid-eighties, it captures perfectly the fear of the AIDS crisis against the conservative backdrop of Reagan’s America. The exceptional cast is headed by Nathan Lane and Spider-man himself – Andrew Garfield.

It’s directed by Olivier and Tony award winning director Marianne Elliott (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, War Horse).
