National Geographic Adventurer of the Year 2015 Gavin McClurg presents his new adventure film. North of Known follows Gavin and his chum Dave Turner as they set out to traverse the absurdly remote 750km long Alaska Range. The trip involved paragliding past 6,000m Denali, North America’s highest mountain, avoiding – ulp! – grizzly bears and crossing countless rivers, glaciers and mountain passes along the way.
Gavin will be present for a Q&A after the screening, which is hosted by Avon Paragliding Club. Tickets, price £10, are available here. Half of the profits will go to the Free Flight Foundation, a charity that works with disabled youngsters in adventure sport.
