Godzilla vs Kong

Director
Adam Wingard
Certificate
12A
Running Time
113 mins

The fourth film in Legendary’s – groan! – MonsterVerse after Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs Kong finally delivers the titular smackdown they’ve been teasing ever since the start of the reboot series back in 2014.

There’s some rubbish plot of course, plus a bunch of wooden human characters played by the likes of Alexander Skarsgård and Rebecca Hall, but the film certainly delivers the big-screen blockbuster spectacle audiences have been craving during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Cabin fever-afflicted critics responded positively, giving the film the best reviews of any entry in the MonsterVerse.
