The third edition of the world’s first film festival celebrating women in extreme sports and adventure boasts a programme of adventure film premieres and a film school for training the next generation of female filmmakers. You can also expect pop-up shops, live art and poetry performances.

The screening programme includes a variety of UK film premieres, such as Scratch the Surface by pioneering UK skateboarding filmmaker Jenna Selby. Among the panel speakers is Mollie Hughes – the youngest woman ever to scale Mount Everest from both sides. She’ll be joined by Michelle Cassar, Creative Director of City to Sea; adventure blogger, expedition leader and environmentalist Bex Band: and award-winning adventure filmmaker Claire-Jane Carter. This year’s Shextreme artist-in-residence is Bristol-based Forever Fin: Kate Hellon, who’ll be producing live surf art on the night. Visit the Shextreme Film Festival website for tickets.
