Following a brief pandemic delay, the Saw franchise rumbles on with this ninth installment in the series. Saw veteran Darren Lynn Bousman (Saws II, III & IV) is back behind the camera. In a surprise piece of casting, comedian Chris Rock gets the lead role as detective Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks. Don’t expect any larfs, mind.

Zeke and his rookie partner William Schenk (Max Minghella) find that the same old shit has started happening again and soon find themselves trapped in another of those twisted, sinister games. Samuel L. Jackson pops up as a veteran cop. Enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that Saw X is already in production.
