Running Time
85 mins

Revered as the definitive jazz concert film and recently restored in 4K, this documentary about the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island was directed by world-renowned photographer Bert Stern.

The all-star line-up includes Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Gerry Mulligan, Anita O’Day and Dinah Washington. There’s also some amusement to be had from the sight of the great Chuck Berry introducing a bemused jazz band to his ground-breaking brand of rock’n’roll.
