National Theatre Encore: Antony & Cleopatra

Director
Simon Godwin
Certificate
12A
Running Time
220 mins

Julius Caesar has been done away with, leaving Mark Antony as boss man of Rome. But, alas, he’s so engaged in lusty frolics with Cleopatra that he begins to neglect his empire.

Following previous broadcasts of Twelfth Night, Man and Superman and The Beaux’ Stratagem, Simon Godwin returns to the National Theatre for this new production of the Bard’s great tragedy of politics, passion and power. Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo play the fated couple.
