A gruesome revenge thriller from 1919? You’d better believe it. This Thomas Ince production stars veteran actor Hobart Bosworth, whose screen career began in 1908, as proud German-American taxidermist Oscar Krug, who’s persecuted by villagers after America is drawn in to WWI. He then marries the lovely Alice Morse (Jane Novak), against her family’s wishes, and she stows away to be with him when he becomes a sea captain. Alas, they’re torpedoed by a U-boat captained by dastardly Hun Wallace Beery. Unpleasantness ensues.
