Bristol’s Young Chef Demo: Cooking with Anouk Trethowan

Date: Sunday, Jun 17 2018
Time: 3:00pm
Venue: Bristol Energy Hub
Price: Free

Anouk, winner of Bristol’s 2017 Healthy Schools Young Chef awards, is excited to be invited to do a cookery demonstration at Food Connections 2018. She’ll also admit it’s quite nerve-wracking! Anouk will be cooking a healthy, savoury and simple dish using local and seasonal ingredients where possible.

Anouk is in her final year at Southville Primary School. She has always enjoyed cooking and learnt to make Cornish Pasties with her grandma when she was six. Cooking for Anouk is about mixing, experimenting, being creative and being healthy (though she does enjoy making brownies a lot!). She’s lucky to have great ingredients at her fingertips – veg and herbs from the garden, wild garlic from the woods, cheese from her dad’s dairy and friends who’ll take her fishing! She bakes a cake every Sunday for her grandmother and always makes sure to use gluten-free flour so dad can have some too!

Join Anouk for a 45 minute demo at the Festival Hub. Come get inspired about what you can cook up next for your friends and family!
