Giro – January Blues Buster
In Italy, it is not uncommon to gather with friends in your local pizzeria for a friendly game of Giro, an endless cycle of pizza Napoletana.
Join the tradition at Bertha’s Pizza for £20 per head (drinks, nibbles and gelato are extra).
The Wapping Wharf restaurant will be open from 6pm for drinks and cocktails and at 7pm pizzas start leaving the kitchen. Graham and his team of chefs pick the toppings, announce them to the room and the first table to shout out gets it.

There will be plenty of vegetarian options and specials you wouldn’t usually see on the Bertha’s menu.
Rules for the night:
- The whole table has to participate. Groups of two to five welcome, or come on your own and you’ll be partnered up
- One pizza at a time per table. There has to be clean plates before you can claim your next one
- Pizzas will continue to flow from the kitchen; two pizzas every 90 seconds if your appetites can keep up
