This internationally acclaimed Tokyo based four piece are bringing their maverick instrumental rock to The Fleece. They are kicking off a long stint in the UK at the Bristol venue having embarked on a 150 date world tour earlier in the year. NME have gone as far to describe their work as “music for the Gods” which seems fitting given the band’s unique blend of orchestral arrangements and shoegaze guitar noise. Active since 1999, they are hailed as one of the most successful bands to come out of Japan in recent decades. They are likewise revered by rock fans and critics as one of the best live bands in their, albeit niche, field. One of the group’s most notable accolades was the award of ‘The Marshall Hawkins Awards: Best Musical Score – Featurette’ from the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema for their collaborative short film ‘Where We Begin’ in 2015. The special set of shows with a 23-piece orchestra in New York, Tokyo, London and Melbourne will live long in the memory of fans around the world as well.
