Bristol Cathedral’s popular lunchtime recitals are back for a special summer season. Running on Tuesdays at 1.15pm throughout August, the varied programme includes local and international performers on piano, trumpet,
organ, flute and a Consort Choir. For over 800 years, Bristol Cathedral has echoed with the sound of voices singing and music playing. Music continues to be at the heart of Cathedral life today. The Lunchtime Recital
series is a regular and much-loved fixture in the Cathedral’s musical programme and the forthcoming summer season boasts a rich variety of music and performers from all over the world.
The new season begins on Tuesday 1 August with a performance by the newly-formed Oxford-based vocal consort, Untune the Sky. Other recital highlights include a performance by American organist Erik Meyer, the return of former Bristol Cathedral organ scholar Christopher Jones, trumpet and piano recitals and a performance by popular local organist David Bednall.
