Salt Cafe presents: GODDESSFEST – an international event celebrating women in music and showcasing three dynamic acts:

Daria Kulesh – with her striking voice and strong Russian and Ingush heritage, Daria Kulesh is a rising star and a unique character on the UK folk scene. Daria’s intrepid quest to explore her family roots in the new solo album Long Lost Home has led her from the folk clubs of Hertfordshire to the mountains of Caucasus; from Cadogan Hall to Kremlin Palace.

Sorcha Chisholm is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, producer, piano and guitar player based in Tokyo. Her latest album Hymns for Her was recorded between 2014-2016 in a remote little bush community outside of her hometown of Adelaide in a tiny Yokohama studio with ex-backline engineer for Cornelius and Primal Scream Jakey Slater and at ex Mott the Hoople keys wizard Morgan Fisher’s Tokyo home studio. It is an album that can best be described as ambient-folk and is at once tender, mysterious and confronting in its lyricism and production.
