Gramophone Awards are like Oscars for musicians, and the Pavel Haas Quartet, extraordinarily, have won six of them. The most recent was awarded for their recording of quintets by fellow countryman Dvorak, and the pianist on that disc was Moscow-born Israeli virtuoso, Boris Giltburg.  That recording comes alive here in this opportunity to hear these high calibre musicians together in some of the most attractive and thrilling chamber music ever written.
