Against the Current
Pop-Rock outfit, Against the Current formed in Poughkeepsie Ney York back in 2011. The group initially built up a following of fans over YouTube, through their covers of popular songs like Owl City and Carly Jae Jepsen’s, ‘Good Time’. Their own debut came shortly after in the form of ‘Closer, Faster’. Driven by catchy melodies and an upbeat tempo their music falls comfortably closer to the pop end of the spectrum and led them to be picked up by popular indie label, Fuelled by Ramen.
