Less Than Jake, Big Reel Fish

Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish are once again co-headlining although this is the first time in four years. When combined the bands’ shows are known for their high energy.

Less Than Jake are considered to be pioneers of the ska-punk scene and they have had a career that spans over 25 years. An example of this sound is most apparent in their 2012 album ‘Greetings and Salutations’, in which they go back to their old roots whilst still managing to sound more modern.

Less Than Jake will be touring with fellow ska-punk band Reel Big Fish. From Southern California, Reel Big Fish was one of the first ska-punk bands to start to edge into the mainstream in the mid-90’s due to the success of their single “Sell Out”. Like many bands of the same genre, the band is distinct due to their hyperkinetic stage shows, juvenile humour and ironic covers. In 2002, they wrote a song entitled “Snap, Krackle, Pop-punk” for Rice Krispies, and as such it was used in three separate commercials.
