Rakei has been making waves internationally with his inventive and refreshing blend of lo-fi soulful tones, turning everything he touches (from hip hop to dub, deep house to reggae) to gold. Through years of hard work and focus he’s been able to define and perfect a sound that is uniquely his own, whilst gaining recognition and respect from seasoned musicians and tastemakers across the globe.
In the short four months following the release of his debut EP Franklins Room in September 2014, Jordan has been privileged enough to grace international stages with some of his greatest musical influences such as Robert Glasper, Fat Freddys Drop, Roy Ayers and Mark de Clive Lowe. After being on consistent rotation with highly regarded radio stations KCRW, 22Tracks, Soul Searching with Michael Ruetten & Kev Beadle’s Sonar Radio, Jordan has been able to garner a loyal global following.
