England U21s face Poland U21s as they continue their preparation for this summer’s UEFA European U21 Championship.

The team will take on current U21 EURO champions Germany at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth on March 26.

“These matches will be really good tests for us against very tough opposition,” said England U21 manager Aidy Boothroyd, who played 10 games for Bristol Rovers in 1990 and took Watford into the Premier League as manager in 2006.

“The games will allow us the chance to get a gauge of two teams that we may face in the Finals, as both have qualified for the Euros.

“It’s also a chance for us to look at new players, try new formations and continue the progress that we have been making.

“We’re grateful to both AFC Bournemouth, Bristol City and Ashton Gate for allowing us to play in their stadiums.

“Having been in both before, I know what special atmospheres they can create. We’re looking forward to showcasing some of our best young players and having two good games in front of big, supportive crowds.”
