Bristol Pilot Gig Club Launch

Bristol Pilot Gig Club, a local rowing organisation, recently secured a Sport England grant to help buy a new wooden boat. That boat has now been built and they’re  celebrating with a boat launch party, before taking the vessel to the World Championships in the Isles of Scilly in May.

There will be food stalls, shanty singing and a naming ceremony. Additionally, party-goers can have a chance to try rowing, take part in a flotilla and races.

The event takes place near the Bristol Harbourside’s marina on Saturday, March 23, from 12pm to 4pm.
