Cyrano
The great romantic love story, immortalised on film by Gérard Depardieu and Steve Martin, is brought playfully to life by Bristol’s much-loved actor Tristan Sturrock (Tristan & Yseult, Poldark).
A theatrical classic, throwing the dream of pure romantic love into the wild chaos and extravagant make believe of theatre, Cyrano is a pure imaginative workout for actors and audience alike, asking us all to question what is love if not a poet’s fantasy?
In a dazzling new verse-adaptation by Peter Oswald, this production is directed by Tom Morris (War Horse, Touching the Void) as a love letter to the place dubbed by Peter O’Toole “the most beautiful theatre in the world.”
