Hoot Owl: Master of Disguise

- Proon Productions
Swoop down to The Redgrave Theatre in February to meet Hoot Owl: a crafty bird with a talon to amuse.
Written, composed and performed by Ellis Creez and Rebecca Hallworth, and based on the popular Laugh Out Loud Book Award-nominated picture title (“the funniest picture book I have read in a long time” – David Walliams) by Bristol-based author Sean Taylor and Jean Jullien, the show tells the story of Hoot Owl who plans to use his cunning camouflage powers to gobble up the tiny animals of the night. Trouble is, his prey keep escaping!
Is Hoot Owl as masterful as he thinks he is? Will he become a member of the Owl Parliament? And will he ever succeed in catching himself some dinner?
is needed now More than ever
Hilarity, puppets, animation, ridiculousness and rapid costume changes abound in this new show from Proon Productions, an entertainment and theatre company whose mischievous style of pantomime humour, theatrical interaction, banter and slapstick has delighted audiences both at home and abroad – and even at sea.
Hoot Owl’s costume was made by Kay Wilton, head of wardrobe at Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the songs were arranged by Mark Rowson and Andante who managed to produce the recordings in between various dates touring with Ken Dodd.
“Hilarious, non-patronising and engaging show for kids and adults…don’t miss this brilliantly bonkers show” – Walthamstow Recommends
