Join Buccaneer Belcher (Bristol comedian Angie Belcher) for terrifying tales of Bristol’s pirates, fact and fiction: Blackbeard, Long John Silver, Woodes Rogers, Robinson Crusoe, Jack Rackham, Anne Bonny – and some of the worst pirate jokes you’ll ever hear.
And perched on Angie’s shoulder: Ted the fact-checking Hartcliffe parrot, making sure she gets it right.

Creative Producer Sheila Hannon said, “Show Of Strength created the theatre upstairs at the Hen & Chicken exactly 30 years ago – autumn 1989. It’s still going strong and now, 30 years later, we’ve got a new show in a new space – at the same place. A great way to celebrate an anniversary.”
