Moby Dick

Date: Sunday, Aug 18 2019 - Monday, Aug 26 2019
Venue: Brunel’s ss Great Britain

Co-presented with Tobacco Factory Theatres, Darkstuff Productions bring their critically acclaimed re-imagining of Herman Melville’s masterpiece to Brunel’s SS Great Britain for an immersive journey in pursuit of the legendary white whale.

“All men live enveloped in whale-lines. All are born with halters round their necks; but it is only when caught in the swift, sudden turn of death, that mortals realize the silent, subtle, ever-present perils of life.”

Schoolmaster turned sailor Ishmael joins a whaling ship sailing from Nantucket, New England. The disparate crew are suspicious of both the newcomer and the ‘savage’ harpooner Queequeg.
