Queer dance artist James Morgan presents this “loving, fire-breathing exploration of queer identity, fantasy and myth”.
James’ reptilian alter ego shares witty and thought-provoking stories about drag, monstrosity and
the end of the world – with experimental dance and fierce lip-syncing to Nicki Minaj, Marilyn
Manson and Cher.
“Dragons and drag queens are mythical, fire-breathing manifestations of empowerment. By
embracing fantasy and drag, Drag On asks: what can we reveal about being queer in the modern
world? In 2018, as the repercussions of human dominance on earth become increasingly
apocalyptic, aren’t we better off as monsters than as humans?”
James Morgan is a queer dance artist based in London. His solo practice straddles the edges
between contemporary dance, theatre, drag and live art.
