Presented in an eclectic style, the company will put expression from black women on the map on a day to celebrate all women.

Lorna Henry said: “We wanted to celebrate International Women’s Day in a way that honoured our individual and collective stories as black women; stories that are sometimes raw, sometimes funny but always honest. The creative process has been moving and exciting.”

All proceeds from the performance will be donated to Bristol Black Carers – a charity that provides essential services for carers in the city.

March 8, 8.30pm, Bristol Old Vic Coopers’ Loft, £7. For more info, visit https://bristololdvic.org.uk/whats-on
