Bristol-based theatre company Riddlestick Theatre return to The Room Above with their second show, a musical-comedy cabaret of curiosities.
The show was a huge hit with audiences over the summer when the company performed at Brainchild Festival, East Sussex, and for one night at The Room Above in July.
The Cabinet of Madame Fanny Du Thé invites the audience to step back into the 18th century and take a peep into the eccentric Madame Fanny’s cabinet of curiosities, which contains a variety of weird and wonderful items she has collected on her adventures around the world.
is needed now More than ever
The audience are invited to take their pick from the cabinet, and for whichever curio they choose, Fanny and her servants perform the elaborate tale behind it.
But, while Fanny revels in performing her outrageously fun and frolicsome stories, somebody far more serious is on the hunt for her. The Cabinet of Madame Fanny Du Thé is a celebration of imagination and curiosity.
Riddlestick Theatre are a Bristol-based company who play with past and present, fiddle with fact and fiction, and toy with traditional forms of tale-telling. They aim to make audiences laugh and think with their rambunctious and inventive musical comedy shows. Co-founders Kate Stokes, 23 and Tom Manson, 23 are drama graduates from the University of Bristol.
