Hunters. Gatherers

Date: Tuesday, Mar 26 2019 - Sunday, Apr 7 2019
Venue: Alma Tavern & Theatre

New production from Bristol’s internationally renowned theatre group and mental health charity Stepping Out Theatre.

Hunters. Gatherers examines what it is to be human through a series of solo performances. Each one stems from our universal need to hunt and gather, and shows how we do that in unlikely ways in the modern world.

Whether it’s Harry who is hunting the Lizard People responsible for murdering the man he loved, or Benny who hides away in his flat surrounded by the TV show memorabilia he is hoarding, we are all still hunters and gatherers.

We’re promised a funny, moving and life-affirming show offering a kaleidoscopic series of modern perspectives on the most ancient of human activities.

Delving into the depths of human behaviour, performers mine our lives and those of our ancestors for the gold of universal human truths. Truths that transcend time, borders and cultures. Performances will offer a tragicomic reflection of ourselves, allowing us to collectively peer into a giant mirror of humanity.

March 26-Apr 7 (Tue 26-Sat 30 / Tue 2-Fri 5 / Sun 7), 8pm, Alma Tavern Theatre, £13/£11 concs.
