Win tickets to Seasick Steve at Summer Series

By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Apr 1, 2015

George Ezra will be headlining the opening night of this year’s Bristol Summer Series, which returns for its second year to the Lloyds Amphitheatre from June 24 to 27.

Ezra will be returning to the city that has adopted him as our own alongside a stellar lineup of Kaiser Chiefs, Seasick Steve and Jessie J. We’ve already given away a pair of Kaiser Chief tickets to our festival cover competition winner, Suzie Booton, and now we’re giving you a chance to win a pair of Seasick Steve tickets.

Following Ezra’s Wednesday night opening, Kaiser Chiefs will be headlining the Thursday night show. On Friday night the entertainment will be provided by three-string strummer Seasick Steve and songstress Jessie J will be performing for the Saturday night finale.

Bristol Summer Series launched last year with sell-out performances from Paulo Nutini and the Pogues, although a planned third night featuring 911, A1, Five, Damage, Honeyz, & B*witched was cancelled.

It’s an important addition to the Bristol summer gig calendar, when standalone events can be sparse. It taps into the Glastonbury warm-up circuit, which London’s British Summertime has been capitalising on for a few years now.

With acts getting bigger and better from year one to two, we can only hope for Bruce Springsteen or Neil Young in year three. Or not.
