Dom spoke to Bristol24/7 at Centrale in Easton, fresh off the back of packing up 200 schools meals for children the same morning. “Which we do every Friday, so that’s cool.”

Pasta Loco on Cotham Hill was the Bianchi group’s first restaurant, followed by Pasta Ripiena, which is now Cotto wine bar and kitchen. Bianchis restaurant in Montpelier was previously Bell’s Diner, Pizza Bianchi took over the former Rocotillos on the Clifton Triangle, with Centrale opening most recently opening in the group’s central kitchen at St Gabriel’s Business Park in Easton.

Dom reels off this impressive list of Bianchis group restaurants and their work to support their local community, like it’s really no big deal. But what the group have achieved over the last few years is nothing short of astounding.

“Part of our role in hospitality is to make people feel comfortable, give people the impression of positivity, happiness,” Dom tells the Behind the Headlines podcast.

“Make people feel welcome, at home, so to speak. I guess from the outside that is how we need to portray ourselves.

“But what we’re seeing at this moment in time post-pandemic is a massive rise in so many different areas of problems.”
