Better Food opens in Wapping Wharf

By Charlotte Mascilo  Wednesday Jul 6, 2016

Better Food has opened its third Bristol shop on Gaol Ferry Steps within Wapping Wharf. Similar to its two previous businesses in St Werburgh’s and Clifton, it’s both a shop and a cafe.

The shop offers different markets of food, all organic and most locally grown, catering to various different types of food preferences from vegan to dairy free.

Better Food founder Phil Haughton (below) started the company for what he calls “justice for food, justice for the farmers, justice for our children”.

The cafe serves both a lunch and dinner time menu, 8am until 8pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Phil also has ambitious plans to open more shops soon.

For now, head to the new Wapping Wharf shop and cafe to try some of Phil’s favourites, the scrambled eggs on sourdough with smoked salmon or the orange and cashew granola with vanilla yoghurt and fresh preserved, fermented fruit.
