How To Be A Chef 2019 gets underway

Turning dreams of experiencing life in a professional kitchen into a reality, the second How To Be A Chef course for 16-25 year olds starts on April 24.

The 12-week programme will prepare a team of young people, particularly those who are not in education and employment, to be a chef in the modern food world. They will learn a range of skills, which will enable them to take on anything from cooking in a high-end restaurant to running a street market stall.

Students spend two days a week learning how to cook and one day a week experiencing life as a real chef in some of Bristol’s best kitchens. Square Food Foundation, an award-winning cookery school, are collaborating with Bristol24/7 to lead the free, accredited course.

Taster sessions for the event will be held at the Square Food Foundation kitchen on April 2 and 3 between 10am and 1pm. Register your interest here.
